    2021 stands to be an exciting year for our hobby. Fingers are crossed that life will return to some semblance of normal, and we’ve all had some more time than normal for upgrades to our rides. Along with that, the downtime has given multiple companies opportunity to develop new products as well, and the tri-five world is no exception. The new product showcase here will display some of the best new parts coming available for this year!

    Vintage Air Brushless Monster Fan Kit

    An electric fan is a more than common upgrade for us Tri-Five enthusiasts who drive our cars a fair amount. The ability to keep cool, even in the toughest of scenarios is always a plus, not to mention it’s pretty much a must for optimizing an aftermarket air conditioning system. It’d be an understatement to say there’s more than a few electric fan setups out there, but there’s never been anything like Vintage Air’s brushless Monster Fan kit!

    I know more than one person just went “what the heck does ‘brushless’ even mean??” For those not aware, brushless motors use an electromagnetic field to create power, leaving virtually no friction whatsoever. The OE’s have been using brushless technology for years on cooling fans for many reasons; they’re incredibly efficient, meaning they take less effort for more output, so volume to a comparable brushed motor is leaps and bounds higher. Along with the higher flow, brushless fans can be ran at different speeds via a control module, allowing for the smartest, most optimized fan control throughout your car’s operating range. Vintage Air’s Monster fan is as the name implies…..this thing is HUGE! 19”, to be exact, covering nearly every square inch of the radiator, encased in a shroud specifically designed for stock-style top-tank radiators for all-out performance. Optional fan control kit is available through Vintage Air, and controls the fan in multiple stages, all in one package.

    If you’re looking for the baddest electric fan on the planet to compliment that shiny new radiator, this is sure to be the hot (or cool, if you will) ticket.

    LS Swap Kit

    Installing LS power into your Tri-Five has become all the rage in previous years, and rightfully so: it’s simply hard to argue with smooth, reliable power, that gets good fuel mileage and is low maintenance to boot. The problem is, it’s just like every other system on your car; there’s so many options out there, both good and bad. Undertaking such a task is always a guessing game and often times winds up with purchasing the wrong parts, multiple parts, or parts you simply don’t need. Fortunately, the crew at Woody’s Hot Rodz has yet again taken the guesswork out of working on your tri-five, this time bringing you their LS Installation kit!

    The kit covers everything you’ll need to get your engine and transmission mounted, consisting of a side mount conversion kit, tubular transmission crossmember, and adjustable LS to standard GM 3-bolt motor mount brackets. The adjustability of these mounts allow you to place your engine in perfect position for your setup, taking into consideration valve covers, accessory drives, and the like without leaving you bound to one fixed position. Along with mounting, Woody’s hooks you up with goodies from Holley to make the install a breeze, first being their tried-and-true 302-1 oil pan. The narrow rear pump and shallow depth give you all the room you’ll need at the crossmember and steering linkage both, with a clean look to boot!

    Fuel is taken into consideration just the same, with the LS Installation Kit including a Holley Sniper EFI fuel tank with your choice of 255 or 400LPH fuel pump to cover most every power level, and a complete WHR LS fuel line kit, with -6 braided hose, filter/regulator assembly, and all necessary fittings.

    And last, but certainly not least, a pair of Hooker cast LS exhaust manifolds, in ceramic coat of your choice, as well as a pair of Hooker stainless downpipes to hook into your exhaust to round out the kit. Overall, this is the most inclusive kit on the market for putting an LS into your Tri-Five, hands down.

    1956 Hardtop body

    The crew at Woody’s Hot Rodz has done it again, making ‘56 lovers everywhere a happy bunch! Adding to the already-popular ‘56 Convertible, Woody’s is now able to build ALL NEW 1956 hardtop bodies! These Chevrolet Performance licensed bodies are hand crafted at the Bright, Indiana facility, using the finest techniques one could only learn by assembling more than 30 into complete, turn-key cars as they have. Fully MIG welded, seam sealed, and put into PPG epoxy primer, these bodies make for a superior start over an OE unit when it comes to fit and finish. And, just like every other all new body that Woody’s builds, they ship on their 2”x2” steel body cart with casters, for ease of movement until you’re absolutely ready for it. And with options like a Hot Rod Dynamics recessed firewall and/or raised transmission tunnel, minitubs, pre-drilled trim holes, and more, these bodies can come well equipped for your project right off the rip!     WHR Cool & Quiet Insulation & Acoustic damper

    Many of us have fallen for the ploy of covering every square inch of the inside of our cars in butyl/foil insulation. These types of insulation, touted as a means acoustic damper and temperature control, generally are a lot better at the former than at the latter. Matter of fact, many wind up installing a second layer if thicker insulation in order to control temperature all together. But what if there was a viable option out there to kill two birds with one stone? Woody’s has the answer with their Cool & Quiet mat! It does exactly as the name implies via a three-part construction: It cools, via a layer of thick foam above a foil base, both coupled to a layer of self-adhesive butyl for sound dampening capabilities.     Holley Sniper EFI Wagon Tank

    For some time now, wagon owners were left with only a few select choices when wanting to go EFI: run a bulky, noisy, external fuel pump, or ditch the spare tire well so a standard passenger car tank can be used to utilize an in-tank fuel pump setup. A less than ideal scenario either way, Holley now has the answer, in their new Sniper EFI compatible fuel tanks! Available for all 6-passenger wagon models, the Sniper tanks are available with the same in-tank 255 or 400LPH fuel pumps their passenger car likenesses are, powdercoated for durability and great looks, and include a new fuel gauge sending unit as well. Whether you’re installing a new LS3, or just converting your 350 over to a Sniper TBI unit, these tanks will keep the go-go juice flowing!
