Transmission Crossmember "L" End Brackets can be bolted or welded to the frame rails when installing a rear transmission crossmember, like #12564, in your classic. The crossmember sits on these brackets and is bolted to them to keep it in place. Installation hardware is not included. #1003 will work on any 1955-1957 Chevy model when installing a rear transmission crossmember.
