Over 60 years of dirt, rust, and sludge are sitting at the bottom of that old gas tank. Running your tank dry could put that filth right where it hurts: in your engine. While cleaning the tank will solve the immediate problem, the real solution is these original design gas tanks. These tanks have all the correct details, including the threaded sending unit mount and mounting strap depressions. # 10853 is a 17 gallon tank which will work on any 1955-1956 classic Chevy wagon (except 9 passenger models), Nomad or sedan delivery. Oversize and/or overweight shipping charges will be applied to this item.
