The Fuel Sending Unit Filter is often overlooked & should be replaced regularly. Unless you use our stainless steel gas tank, moisture in the gas will eventually produce rust in the tank which could clog this filter. #12696 will work on any 1955-1957 Chevy with a 5/16" fuel tank sending unit. Slides over the end of the pick-up tube in the tank.
